DIOXIN TREATMENT PROJECT AT BIEN HOA AIRPORT – CW1

✅ Main work content:
- Construction of Pre-treatment Area (PTSA) containing 150,000 m³ of high-concentration Dioxin-contaminated soil/sediment.
- Construction of pumping station and other technical items for PTSA, including: concrete-lined canal, security fence, decontamination area.
- Excavation and transportation of up to 270,000 m³ of Dioxin-contaminated soil/sediment to the treatment area.
- Construction of more than 4,000 m³ of concrete.
- Supply and installation of 2-layer HDPE lining (1.5mm) for temporary and permanent storage areas.
Project significance:
The project is part of the cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, aiming to overcome the consequences of war, improve the environment and ensure safety for the community around Bien Hoa airport - a hotspot of Dioxin contamination.
As the main contractor, VINA E&C is proud to accompany USAID in its efforts to restore the environment, demonstrating its capacity in the field of large-scale construction and pollution treatment, requiring high technology and strict control of safety and environment.

This is phase 2 of an important package and has the largest investment level currently in an environmental project in Ho Chi Minh City. The project includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 450,000m3 to improve environmental sanitation and enhance public health.
