The Dioxin Remediation Project at Bien Hoa Airbase is one of Vietnam’s most significant environmental restoration efforts, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Vina E&C is honored to serve as the main contractor, delivering complex technical packages to remediate contaminated soil, helping to overcome the legacy of war and restore a sustainable living environment.
With a total construction value of over VND 195 billion, the project was implemented during 2021 – 2023 in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province. It stands as one of the projects requiring strict international standards in safety, engineering, and construction technology.

Construction + equipment installation
This is a project that started in August 2023. Vina E&C is honored to be trusted by Acciona - Vinci Joint Venture (AVJ) as the DBO general contractor to implement package XL-02 of the Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe Wastewater Treatment Plant Design, Construction and Operation Project. This is phase 2 of an important package and has the largest investment level currently in an environmental project in Ho Chi Minh City. The project includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 450,000m3 to improve environmental sanitation and enhance public health.
Wastewater treatment plant expansion
Following the completion of the Environmental Remediation of Dioxin Contamination at Da Nang Airport in 2018, at the request of the Government of Vietnam (GVN), the United States Government agreed to cooperate in dioxin remediation at the Bien Hoa Airport Area, the primary storage and treatment site for Agent Orange during the Vietnam-US War and the largest remaining dioxin hotspot in Vietnam.
The Dioxin Remediation Project at Bien Hoa Airport – CW1 is part of a cooperation program between the Government of Vietnam and the United States to overcome the consequences of Agent Orange after the war. VINA E&C is honored to be the main contractor, responsible for the construction of the treatment area, transportation and treatment of more than 270,000 m³ of contaminated soil, ensuring compliance with international environmental and safety standards.
