Package A2 – Long Son Petrochemicals Complex


PACKAGE A2 – LONG SON PETROCHEMICALS COMPLEX

The Long Son Petrochemicals Complex is located in Long Son Commune, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The project was developed by Long Son Petrochemicals Co., Ltd., with POSCO E&C Co., Ltd. serving as the General Contractor.

SCOPE OF WORK

The principal scope of work included:

  • Site development through sand filling, construction of access roads and shoreline protection works.

  • Construction of reinforced-concrete tank foundations with diameters of up to 71 metres and pipe-rack foundations.

  • Construction of dike-wall structures, tank structures and manholes.

  • Associated construction works, including painting, roofing, scaffolding, fireproofing and thermal insulation.

  • Installation of fire-rated doors for substations and canopies for auxiliary buildings.

  • Fabrication and erection of structural steel, including working platforms, steel staircases and corrugated metal roofing.

  • Construction of underground FW piping systems.

  • Construction of drainage systems using reinforced-concrete pipes, U-shaped drains and HDPE D1500 pipes.

DEMONSTRATED CAPABILITIES

The project demonstrates VINA E&C’s capabilities in delivering integrated construction works for large-scale industrial developments, covering site development, foundation and reinforced-concrete works, structural steel fabrication and erection, underground piping and drainage systems.

The simultaneous execution of multiple work disciplines within an industrial environment required effective construction management, technical coordination and strict control of safety, quality and schedule.

Tan Cang Nhon Trach ICD Warehouse

VINA E&C serves as the main contractor for Package No. 07 – Construction of the Warehouse and Technical Infrastructure under the warehouse investment project at Tan Cang Nhon Trach ICD. The project comprises a 6,750 m² warehouse together with surrounding roads, yards, slope protection and integrated technical infrastructure.

CARBON FIBER AND MATERIAL FACTORY - CONSTRUCTION UTILITIES

VINA E&C participated in Construction of Main Technical Infrastructure – Area A in Phu My, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, including soft soil treatment using the phd method over approximately 91,600 m² and site grading and preparation.

Bio-BDO Biological Products Factory

VINA E&C participated in Soft Soil Treatment Package in Phu My Town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, including soft soil treatment using the phd method over approximately 251,000 m².

CARBON FIBER AND MATERIALS FACTORY PROJECT

The Hyosung Advanced Materials Factory project in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, undertaken by VINA E&C as the main contractor, focuses on the treatment of a 91,613 m2 area of land using the high-quality PHD method. The project implementation ensures both quality and progress in the work. The goal of the project is to establish a modern and sustainable production infrastructure in the region, contributing to the local economic development and creating numerous employment opportunities.

VARD PLANT EXPANSION – UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS

VINA E&C participated in the construction of utility infrastructure systems for the VARD Plant Expansion Project at Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, Vung Tau City. The scope included drainage systems, MEP trenches and manholes, road-crossing pipes, a 300 m³ underground water tank and a pump station building.

Lac Hoa II Wind Power Plant

VINA E&C participated in Construction of Infrastructure and Turbine Erection Yard in Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province, including site clearing, cleanup and removal of organic topsoil and site grading and preparation.

Bulk Cargo Warehouse No. 1 – Thi Vai General Port

VINA E&C participated in the construction and installation of Bulk Cargo Warehouse No. 1 at Thi Vai General Port, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The 6,424 m² facility was developed to support bulk-cargo storage and port operations.
