For environmental projects with high technical, safety and coordination requirements, conducting lessons learned reviews after each implementation phase is an important practice to improve project management, standardize construction methods and proactively control potential risks.
At the CW1 Package – Bien Hoa Airbase Dioxin Remediation Project, VINA E&C participated in a lessons learned review to evaluate practical experiences from the fourth year of implementation and identify key areas for improvement in preparation for the next phase.
The review focused on several critical aspects of project execution, including construction organization, excavation and hauling coordination, material handling under challenging weather conditions, health, safety and environmental control, as well as technical coordination among relevant parties.
Based on practical experiences from the site, one of the key directions discussed was the transition from a reactive approach to a more proactive operational optimization model. Proposed improvement areas included forward planning of staging areas, better coordination of excavation and transportation flows, improved site condition control, proactive preparation for the rainy season and enhanced coordination during construction method updates.
In addition to progress and productivity, health, safety and environmental control remain core priorities of the project. Reviewing lessons learned from actual site execution helps strengthen training methods, improve risk awareness and enhance control measures at the project site.
Through this lessons learned review, VINA E&C continues to demonstrate its responsible, improvement-oriented approach in participating in projects with high requirements for technical performance, safety and international coordination. This also provides an important foundation for strengthening execution capability and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the project in the following phases.
